The world’s poorest countries could be coming a step closer to the US$100 billion a year promised by richer nations to help them adapt to and mitigate climate change. A new report shows the majority of the promised US$100 billion is now being provided, but a significant gap of nearly $40 billion remains, and vulnerable nations are joining forces to call on developed governments and institutions to help plug it.
