With the project "The Seventh Continent - 2nd Island" EMTHEATRE wishes to continue its multidisciplinary course on the theme of eco- consumption in the agglomeration of SET IS.

An avenue of potatoes and onion braids leads us to a "kitchen ": a set table becomes the screen for a video-projection and a refrigerator becomes Madonna altar, surrounded by plastic flowers and cheese candles... A tomb of food packaging under the gaze of a "human " apron. This is a multimedia installation, interactive and itinerant.

We consider why the Est Ensemble whole like an archipelago, a group of municipalities. The aim is also to create bridges between geographical areas and suggest artistic actions concerning the prevention of waste including happenings, collections, installations and performances.
The title of our project "The Seventh Continent" is a reference to plastic waste layers that concentrate in certain areas of the Pacific forming a true continent adrift and naturally ecological disaster.
We want to explore the issue of travel packages for our table and their impact on the ecosystem.
