Anaïs Tondeur is a visual artist. She works and lives in Paris.
Her art practice draws on an exploration of the interface between art and science, senses and cognition, fact and fiction. Through a pluridiscplinary practice including installations, drawings, early techniques of photography and new media processes, her work is carried by a sense of history, time and perception. Her installations bring into narrative questions stemming from the evolution of knowledge and the impact of human living on the environment, through expeditions in physical or fictional territories.

To this end, she often collaborates with artists and researchers from other discplines. She has actually been commissioned to work as an artist in residence with the scientists, anthropologists and designers at Laboratoire des cultures durables (Chamarande, COAL) and at the French Space Observatory (CNES, Paris).

She was also artist in residence at National Natural History Museum as well as Pierre and Marie Institute (Demain, le Climat, Sorbonne University, 2015, Paris), Ladhyx, Hydrodynamics laboratory, (CNRS, Ecole Polytechnique, 2013-2015), Les 26 Couleurs, Centre for New Media Arts (2013, France), Audax Textiel Museum (2011, Netherlands), Cité Internationale de la dentelle (2011, Calais, France).

Anaïs Tondeur graduated from a Master in Mixed-Media at Royal College of Art (London, 2010) after completing a Bachelor (Hons) Textiles at Central Saint Martin’s School (London, 2008).

Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions in Paris and London and group exhibitions shown nationally and internationally.
