'Ça va chauffer', a theatre show on climate change, will be performed on September 19th at 5pm at the Base de loisirs of Cergy-Pontoise.
The play is an opportunity to understand the issues and to try to make things change in every day life.
This play is an awareness tool on the need to change our ways of thinking and acting in order to stop the processes leading to climate disruption. It addresses various topics (housing, city planning, transportation, production and waste treatment, energy consumption, food- agriculture ...), from different points of view: the family, the community or local authorities / citizens collaboration.
It is accessible to every kind of audiences (it is particularly popular with youth and young adults), it gives accurate information in a simple and understandable way for those who have never or rarely thought about these subjects.
Once the show is complete (about 1 hour), we play some selected scenes again. Volunteer spectators can go on stage to play a protagonist, sharing their own views to try to get things moving.
Make “Forum” is trying to set the changing action together and to weigh its consequences. So that, for tomorrow, things are no longer as before.
To create the show in 2009 in the time of the Copenhagen Summit, we met various specialists (Bernard Laponche, Ronan Dantec, François Dufour, Sandrine Bélier, ADEME, Terre de Liens, Greenpeace, Les Amis de la Terre…) who brought us the analysis and concrete situations elements. In the fall of 2015, "Ça va chauffer " will be played a dozen times in the context of citizen mobilizations for the COP 21.
With the support of the Région Île-de-France and ARENE Île-de-France (Energy and Climate Regional Agency).
