Created for Jakarta Biennale 2015, with the residents of low-cost housing project Rusun Marunda, the Jakarta Really Really Free Market (JRRFM) is an artwork that takes the form of the temporary market of free goods and services.

Started in USA as anti-globalization protests against the Free Trade Area of the Americas in 2003, the Really Really Free Market (RRFM) is a non-hierarchical collective of individuals who form a temporary market based on an alternative gift economy. It aims to counteract capitalism in a proactive way. It holds as a major goal to build a community based on sharing resources, caring for one another and improving the collective lives of all.

Post-Museum has been organising the Singapore Really Really Free Market since Jan 2009, and has also created with local communities various RRFMs in Thailand, Japan and the UK.

For Jakarta Biennale 2015, JRRFM took place on 15 Nov in Rusun Marunda, and is continuing, as a free store, daily from 10am-6pm in Gudang Sarinah.
