We as humans come from humus, soil, originally meaning home in Latin. We come from the soil, are fed by the soil and return to the soil. If we cannot stand in Paris as humans we must stand in Paris as humus, the earth that we need to protect.
As the demonstrations are disrupted in Paris over COP21 let our soil be joined in soilidarity.
Bring a cupful of soil, or as MUCH as you can manage, from a place you have connected to.
There will be a space where a pyramid will be made from this soil.
You are welcome to read a poem, sing a song or feed it with your silence.
This soil is our past, present and future.
There is a need for our earth to be deliberately present during this vitally important time as collectively we think creatively, bring union and sculpt the earth’s future.
Please spread the word.
