A cabinet of curiosities for the future Sci-fi theatre explores the end of Humanity in a moving, living event that is delightfully cynical and poetic.
design by le bruit des nuages/Olivier Thomas
With Oto Camara Fodé, Marjorie Currenti, Marion Duquenne, Yragaël Gervais, Carine Gualdaroni, Lucile Oza, Olivier Thomas . written by Ronan Cheneau, Karin Serres, Olivier Thomas with contributions from Mathieu Bonfils, Arianna Cecconi, Benjamin Dupé, Élisa Voisin
A living, moving performance Olivier Thomas has created a small museum showcasing the end of mankind... and in a pessimistic, tragic twist of fate, despite our demise, the planet lives on. But because humankind's self-destruction is a gradual process, why not prep the general public before it's too late! Seven brief performances provide an impressionistic glimpse into humanity's potential disappearance, from extraterrestrial invasion to being transported to a futuristic capsule, from the final view seen by the last man on Earth, to an attempt to take up less space in a bid to stave off over-population... An exploration of our future through various apocalyptic scenarios, each as crazy as they are likely.
Aided by fellow artists, the director splices innovative writing with different modes of expression to bring the audience an experimental half-way point between visual art and theatre, 31 circus performance, video and music.
