Clima(x) is both a concert and a documentary about climate issues, adapted from the comic strip "Saison Brune" by Philippe Squarzoni.
For Clima(x), Pierre Badaroux has composed a hypnotic, energetic and contemporary music, mixing melodies, improvisations, repetitive forms and transformed sounds. The music is combined with a series of live or recorded voices, radio archives, advertising from another world.
Thierry Péala, both jazz singer and storyteller, between two vocal improvisations, becomes the spokesman of the scientific and literary speech of Philippe Squarzoni, combined with poetic extracts from Aimé Césaire, Jim Harrison, Jean Giono's books.
Clima(x) is a singular project oscillating between an energetic musical performance and a documentary which echoes global warming, which will be debated at the end of the year during the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris.
Adaptation by Olivia Kryger et Pierre Badaroux, from the comic strip "Saison brune" by Philippe Squarzoni (éd. Delcourt).
Texts from Jean Giono (Ed. Gallimard), Jim Harrison (Ed. Bourgois), and Aimé Césaire (Ed. Présence africaine).
