Join Impact Hub Eco Series and green-energy entrepreneur Jeremy Leggett to talk about how he believes we are starting to win the war against climate change.

Described as “Britain’s most respected green energy boss”, Jeremy Leggett is a British green-energy entrepreneur, author, activist and founding director of Solarcentury, the UK’s largest independent solar electric company. He is also founder and Chairman of SolarAid, a charity set up with 5% of Solarcentury’s annual profits; and Chairman of CarbonTracker, a financial-sector think-tank warning of carbon-fuel asset-stranding risk to the capital markets, colloquially known as the carbon bubble. He is the author of four books on energy, climate change, and oil depletion. As Richard Branson puts it:

“Given how vital developments in energy and climate will be for the future global economy, a front-line chronicle of events as they unfold in the make-or-break year ahead promises to be fascinating. With a past in oil and gas, a present in solar and finance, and two decades of climate campaigning along the way, we can rely on Jeremy Leggett to provide an interesting and insightful perspective.”
Impact Hub Eco Series is delighted to be hosting a lively evening of discussion with Jeremy about his recent book, The Winning of the Carbon War, in which he argues why, after years of campaigning against the use of fossil fuels and promoting clean energy we’re finally starting to see success in this area. We will also get his view on the upcoming climate talks in Paris and other topical issues, before opening the floor to Q&As.
