A relaxed evening of reading aloud, listening and conversation. We hope to perform a historical timeline that documents theatre and climate change, environment, and us people being entangled in it all.
Friends and researchers Evelyn and Sharanya of crash/blue have curated a selection of extracts from plays and performances to read aloud in the darkness under what we think is a black locust tree in Exeter on Sunday 8th November.
Dress warm--If necessary, we'll move inside--and bring torches if you have them. We'll deal with whatever weather comes and if the words melt away, then maybe we'll see what we can remember.
Our event is part of Climate Change Theatre Action, a global joint venture between NoPassport, The Arctic Cycle, and Theatre Without Borders, in support of the United Nations 2015 Paris Climate Conference (COP21).
