MIPJ: Media, Information, International Relations and Humanitarian Affairs has teamed up with Humanitas Media Publishing, to promote the work of Red Shuttleworth and his play, High Plains Fandango, about the issues surrounding water scarcity and the effects on a small town amidst impending privatization.

The event: a special "reading day" in which the public can email or tweet questions about the play and its inspiration to the playwright, who will answer the top 10 questions for a special feature online via the Humanitas Media Publishing website.

The event will last between 12:00pm and 8:00pm EDT on Wednesday, November 26, 2015. The top 10 questions will be posted by 11:59pm EDT that night, and answered the following day.

High Plains Fandango was published by Humanitas Media Publishing in August 2015, and was written about in the Huffington Post (

Red Shuttleworth has earned the recognition that comes with being the three-time winner for the Spur Award by the Western Writers of America, and having also been named "Best Living Western Poet" by True West magazine. His poems, one-act plays, and short stories have appeared in over a hundred journals, his work produced in both professional and academic venues, including at The Foothill Theatre (CA), Spirit of the Horse Theatre (MN), Sundance Playwrights Lab, The Sun Valley Festival of New Western Drama, and the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespearean Festival.
